Project Overview
The Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care (CCGHC) is seeking 2–3 MBA student volunteers to support a strategic business review of the organization during the summer and early fall of 2025.
As a recently approved charity with a growing portfolio of programs and partnerships, the Coalition is looking to deepen its operational sustainability, explore new funding pathways, and identify business-minded opportunities to expand its impact. This volunteer consulting opportunity will allow MBA students to apply their business acumen in a real-world, mission-driven context—contributing directly to Canada’s leadership in sustainable health care.
Project Timeline
Duration: July 25 – September 30, 2025
Estimated Time Commitment: ~15 hours/week
Location: Remote (with possible virtual meetings/interviews with team members)
Key Objectives
MBA volunteers will:
- Conduct a business review of the Coalition’s operations, programs, and funding model.
- Identify opportunities for revenue generation, including the potential evolution of grant-funded programs into sustainable products or services.
- Produce a short summary report, including recommendations and relevant best practice examples from the non-profit and social enterprise sectors.
Key Strategic Questions to Explore
- How can the Coalition diversify its sources of funding beyond grants?
- What opportunities exist to turn successful programs into revenue-generating services or tools?
- What business models and practices from similar organizations might inform the Coalition’s future?
