2021 Green Health Care Awards

The 2021 Green Health Care Awards were announced Wednesday September 21st and Thursday September 22nd, 2022 respectively, at virtual award presentations held by the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care. The awards, made possible with support from Ontario’s Save on Energy initiative, honour Canada’s most sustainable health care organisations.

Data call for the 2022 Green Hospital Scorecard (2021 data)

The Coalition is committed to working with our hospital partners to benchmark environmental sustainability. We will be announcing our next steps with the Green Hospital Scorecard in the next several weeks. Please stay tuned for these announcements through our newsletter The Green Digest, and we will also be reaching out to existing participants directly.

Project Background

The Green Hospital Scorecard (GHS) is the only comprehensive health care environmental performance benchmarking tool in Canada measuring energy conservation, water conservation, waste management and recycling, corporate commitment and pollution prevention. Participating hospitals report on their environmental and sustainability initiatives through a questionnaire and receive a Green Hospital Scorecard summarizing their year-over-year environmental performance relative to their peers.

2020 Green Hospital Scorecard Review Webinar

On Wednesday, August 4th, 2021, the Coalition hosted a webinar to review the new GHS survey, outline how to submit your data, walked through the various changes.
