Armaan Makhani-Kotadia is a graduate of McMaster University’s Health Sciences Program, where he also completed Interdisciplinary Minors in Sustainability and Community Engagement. He has contributed over 700 hours as a Sustainability Teaching Assistant, co-led McMaster’s Student Sustainability Ambassadors Program, published research on single-use plastic water bottle use that informed campus policy, and delivered a keynote address on the importance of embedding sustainability earlier in healthcare education. This work earned him the inaugural Adam Chiaravalle Post-Secondary Youth Conservation Award at the Hamilton Environmentalists of the Year Awards.
Armaan is excited to join The Coalition as a Project Assistant and draw on his background in sustainability education, research, and community engagement to support the transition to net-zero health care.
