Marketing and Outreach Coordinator

The Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care, a national not for profit group of hospitals and other health care organizations and individuals is seeking a Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to assist our team with community outreach activities to members, partners and sponsors.  Working with our Executive Director, and our virtual team, you will develop and implement initiatives that increase organizational visibility within the Canadian health care system. Specifically, you will:

  • Provide support to the projects of the Coalition
  • Support the Green Health Care Scorecard program of environmental performance indicators
  • Conduct market research and track stakeholder engagement in a contact relationship management database and develop a plan for outreach activities
  • Assist in the development of promotional campaigns, webinars workshops, conferences and other educational events
  • Update digital and graphical content for social media, newsletter and website


This work experience placement is part of the CreateAction Inclusive Social Innovation program. The person will be part of a network of 21 CreateAction participants and will join in regular peer learning and training sessions throughout the 6 month work experience, delivered by the program partners: the Canadian CED Network and the National Association of Friendship Centres. Social Research and Demonstration Corporation is one of the CreateAction partners who support this initiative.



High School graduation, some post-secondary training/education, interest in marketing and sales

Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) & Google Suite

Competency and/or interest in Adobe Photoshop and Canva

Knowledge of on-line marketing programs and social media campaigns and on-line search and research

Very good verbal, written communication and presentation skills

Comfortable working in a team-based virtual environment and good personal time management skills

Health care experience and interest in learning about operations management desirable


Candidates must be: 

between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at start of placement

a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

legally entitled to work in Canada

legally entitled to work according to Nova Scotia legislation and regulations

experiencing one or more barriers to employment and/or not in education, employment or training (NEET)


Term of Position:  Jan 10, 2022 – July 8, 2022

Salary:  $ 19./hr. for a 37.5 hour work week for a period of 26 weeks
